what’s included and how it works

Investing in a new website doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

Get the most out of your new site design by working in a truly collaborative setting, ensuring you’ll end up not only with a site that looks great, but also communicates everything there is to know about your business and what you have to offer. Don’t settle for website providers who are difficult to get a hold of and leave you struggling to make edits on your own.

Take the frustration out of bringing your business online and feel empowered by having a website that you can actually manage yourself.

(Or, let me do that part for you… Check out the maintenance retainer below.)

  • landing page design

If you have a fundraiser, stallion you’re trying to promote, an upcoming sale, or another event or item that you don’t think needs a multi-page website to get the job done, consider a one-page website or landing page. These sites typically include all information on a single page, ideal for something that needs to be online, but might not require several pages of information.

Your website design will be built to go live following a four-to-six-week working timeline.*

Includes two (2) rounds of reasonable, site-wide edits prior to client final approval.**

    Included in your design:

    • Custom Single-Page Design
    • Minor Copywriting/Editing (on an as-needed basis, to be determined before project start)
    • Responsive Design for Mobile, Tablet, and Desktop Screens
    • Connection of your New Site to your Domain Address (and previous domain transfer support, if necessary)
    • Basic SEO Setup/Testing [Squarespace SEO tools setup and SEO "Site Checkup" prior to launch]
    • Recorded Video Tutorial/Walkthrough for Basic Site Edits/Maintenance
    • One-Week "Support Window" following Site Launch for troubleshooting, last edits, etc.

*Timeline subject to client schedule and availability.

**Additional website edits may be made at an hourly rate of $65.

Website package pricing DOES NOT include: website hosting (typically $18/month), the purchase of stock photography or graphics, nor the purchase of a domain (price varies).

  • 5-6 page custom squarespace website

Taking your business online is easier than ever before—regardless of how ‘tech-inclined’ you might be. With Squarespace, you’re investing in a site that is easy to learn, readily responsive for all screen sizes (don’t worry about your site not being mobile-friendly for those who frequent websites on their phones), and comes with world-class online support.

  • website maintenance

While it’s my goal to make website designs as accessible as possible when it comes to edits and maintenance, some clients inevitably prefer to be hands-off when it comes to making changes, updates, and troubleshooting their site.

If you fall into this category, we can discuss a monthly retainer that would involve me making any edits to your site as they become necessary—including but not limited to: changes in prices, offers, services and products, new sale/sold horse listings, upcoming events, updates within staff members, etc.

We’ll work together to develop a list of potential needs and come up with a price that is within your monthly business budget.

the website design process

i

We’ll discuss your business, current website (if applicable), as well as your online goals. If necessary, we’ll talk through pain points with your existing site, and ideas or concepts if you have any already in mind. This can be a phone call, email, or an in-person or Zoom meeting. Fill out a form today to get started.

ii

After our initial discussions, I’ll send a customized proposal that breaks down the costs and final intended deliverables of my suggested plan. Once you’ve signed your proposal and contract, you’ll have a retainer due for 40% of the total proposed service cost at the time of booking. (The other 60% will be due following your site launch.)

iii

Get ready, because your website design will involve a bit of homework. In order for me to provide you with the highest-quality design, I’ll need you to provide materials such as copy (text), images, and any other content that will be used on your site.

A shared Google Drive folder is created for you to upload any materials as you collect them. This folder is accessible only by myself and by anyone on your team that has been granted access. I also send a questionnaire that will help direct the overall design.

iv

Once all website materials necessary to the build have been gathered and uploaded to your Google Drive folder, I’ll get started on the design. This typically begins with a homepage design for initial approval before moving onto the rest of the site.

Website timelines are typically 4-6 weeks* once all materials have been gathered and the design begins.

*This schedule depends largely on your cooperation in and dedication to getting materials gathered in a timely manner.
